Fanart of Catherine from the upcoming atlus game of the same name. I'm really excited for it!!EDIT: Okay guys, thank you all for fav'ing this picture, but I finally had to change it! It always bugged me how I drew such thin drills on her. So I redrew her drill hair to be much meatier now like she deserves. So please enjoy the new and improved, delicious croissant hair with more fluff and better taste!

It's even better to see an artist who put so much work into getting a character's face right before putting up the final product. Every artist feels they could've done better (sometimes they feel that way often XD). Trust me, though, you did a fantastic job.

I imported the game for my birthday, and I understood most of the story, but as for the actual choices i had no idea what i was doing since i can't read any kanji lol. So i ended up getting a bad ending.

I mean yeah she's incredibly cute and sexy, absolutely devoted to you, and she seems like real fun to be around (especially in bed
B-But Katherine is incredible too! She's not as eye-shockingly gorgeous or cute as Catherine, but she has a modest beauty to her, and she's adorable in her own ways.
Key Examples: The way Katherine doesn't even need to be asked to add sugar to his tea with a smile, the way she thinks about having a family with Vinny-boy, and how loving she is to actually bring him a boxed lunch!

So I don't know. I'm heads over heels for them both! lol But, ultimately, I think I'd go for Katherine (though I will be going for all four endings).

I've been playing the game for the past week and when i first jumped on I picked Katherine. It was a really hard choice. I love Catherine's design, voice (in both English and Japanese) and DAT DRILL HAIR. But Katherine has such great style, awesome blue fingernails, and is a glasses girl which i love. And I felt bad for cheating on her. So she was first and I went for Catherine after. both were very much worthwhile!
Also managed to get gold on all of the normal levels (since i've had experience from the import. however i went into hard mode and could barely beat the second stage in the first area lol. They don't toy around in hard mode. they are certainly out for blood!
Also there are 8, count them, 8 endings! insane!! i got 7 of the 8 endings so far. it's been a lot of fun.

GOLD ON ALL NORMAL LEVELS?!
You, gustredcloude, are amazing. I can't even Gold them on Easy (though I'm not bad, just hate those ice blocks with a passion)!
_And yeah, I did the same. I chose Katherine because I knew her True ending first from a Japanese video walkthrough and because it's my favorite. It just fits so well. But then I decided to go for Catherine and her True Ending.
TOTALLY worth it, just like you said. Both of them have magnificent true endings, though one of them is played up for laughs a bit more. I think that's because the reality of what's going on would be really unnerving without the funnier bits (which cracked me up).
7 of 8 endings? Haha I had to stop playing for a few days since all I could see when I closed my eyes were blocks. I'm gonna dive back in after I beat MGS4 again. Gotta take a break and savor that fantastic Catherine sweetness.
My one problem with the English release is the subtitles. Everything from the VA work to the translations seemed almost perfect (I'm not the type to complain about voices not syncing up with lips in cases like these), but the English subtitles didn't have the same ambiguity as the Japanese ones. You see, what's great about the Japanese kanji is that Catherine and Katherine is spelled the same, so after a certain point you don't know if Vincent cares more about Katherine or Catherine, and it really depends on which one you're going for. However, thanks to the subtitling, things like the twist with the angry caller and Vincent's preferred C/Katherine are ruined since they spell it out for you. By the very end they decided to leave out the girls' names from the text whenever he says their names, but by then it's too late, and it really seems like Vincent only cared for Katherine all along.
But like I said, that's the only complaint. If it was me I'd have had them translate it as "atherine" to keep it ambiguous, but what's done is done. The game is just what I had hoped for in every other regard and I love it. Glad to see someone else who enjoys it just as much if not even more!

Yeah i know what you mean.when I played the import version I had no idea which girl that they were talking about when there was the caller, and during other key moments. I really thought that they'd carry that over to the US version and at least put 'she' on the subtitles or 'her' whenever he talked about one of the girls. But unfortunately it was not so. 
The cool thing about getting gold is that when you get it on all of the levels in an area then the next time you play through the game you can just skip those levels and get right back to the story bits. so it makes it much easier to get all of the endings.
If we continue this conversation we'll have to do so in notes so we can include spoilers too (oh erika...why?). But I definitely loved the game and I'm glad to find someone else who did as well. And I am also a giant MGS fan! i should totally do some fanart for it sometime!
