Great shot.. You were in a tent on that mountain, quite courageous..
The shot is technically perfect, the sky is like a northern light..

Thank you, appreciate your fav

if you are using Panasonic DMC-FZ50 you can go even 60 sec. exposure. But Im not sure if you can use bulb mode.

Take care my friend

I have checked it! Your right, I can do this! Thanks for telling me!

Blub mode?? What is it? Sorry... you know I'm still learning!

Thanks again!

We are all still learning...bulb mode it that your aperture is open as long as you hold shutter button, even for 8 minutes or on some cameras even like 60 minutes. I love to do some long exposures - so much fun to do it.

Lovely - I like the darkness to it, if it were brighter then it wouldn't be night time!

thank you for your kind comments,

ya it is quite dark, but this shot was done in almost total darkness...I guess that my monitor is too bright, because often people on dA are telling me that this or that is too dark...I guess I have to calibrate my monitor.

Take care bro

Lol...tell me about it mate. I also get told a lot that my shots are too bright..but they look the same to me on my camera and my monitor. I really don't know what to do about it :/

Some might say it's too dark, but I like how it's slightly obscured - that adds to the mystery. The dark blue over the mountains looks really beautiful and ominous, like a storm coming in.

I'm adding this to my long list of 'places I want to live'.
