Description
Some years back a major fire blazed through this area, charring the then-dense oaks on the hillside. The next spring was a celebration of brilliant green revival against the blackened landscape and a couple of autumns later the slopes were once again painted in colorful foliage. Overcast skies rendered the scene with almost no shadows, adding a cast of pale pastels to the vibrant leaves for a truly impressionistic effect.Related content

What an absolutely fantastic capture. That stark, obviously destroyed foreground is unbelievably powerful and draws you into a very beautiful shot. The Autumal colours, although subtle, just transfix you and those central fir trees are beautifully positioned to take you further into the shot. There is nothing that I do not like about this shot, although Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year. This shot, to me, shouts of the beauty of this earth and its capability to renew.
Thank you for sharing an inspirational, thought provoking and educational shot. I have great admiration for your abilities as a photographer.

This is beyond beautiful, I thought I was looking at a painting at first. I've never seen a scene with so many natural colors in it.

Oooo, really like this. Way to get out there right after the burn. The one thing I might suggest is add some contrast to the forest just past the fg burnt logs. Seems to be a bit flat. Otherwise wicked
