That's when you love the couch XD my bunk bed did that and my bed is super heavy. So, I just like went out of my way to move it for my phone with some weird super power to move heavy things.

No, but starting it is too hard, too. (Just speaking in terms of the average lazy American.)

This happened quite a lot when I was young. I usually did one of three things.
Complain and whine then sit on the floor.
Complain and whine until I get an extension cord.
Complain and whine but stop playing.

This is why, when my old laptop cord got too damaged after prolonged serious use (i.e. literally nonstop), I bought a new one that's like, 12-14 feet long instead of the old one's pitiful 6 feet.

Also, when my earbuds broke, my dad lent me a pair of his (By lent, I mean I'm still using them, like a month and a half later. They're surprisingly comfortable, considering most earbuds make me want to claw my own ears off after ten minutes). The earbuds themselves have a teeny weeny 1 foot long cord. There's an extension cord of them he also gave me, which increases the total length to 7 feet or so. When I use it with this really awesome headband/headphones thing I have for sleeping that covers my eyes and has on-the-ear headphones in it, I get 8-9 feet. With the way my room is situated, I could get up from my bed and walk around to the door without worrying I'd pull my laptop with me.

In short: Long cords are way more awesome than short cords.

I will say, though, as someone who has traveled with my phone, tablet, and laptop from place to place, it's nice to have shorter cables so they won't get tangled in your bags so much and take up precious space. Plus having less to carry is good.

hollyleaffurevr In reply to GydroZMaa [2016-02-04 09:40:55 +0000 UTC]

True, true. I've never really had a problem with tangling cords, actually, since I use either hair ties or these little velcro strips to keep them bundled up neatly. Plus, with my laptop being old, bulky, and requiring a separate laptop-sized fan to keep from overheating, a little extra cord-length is nothing when it comes to carrying it all.

the struggle.
one wants to be comfortable while using the phone.
and yet one needs to charge it at the same time!

It'll be perfect once it's close to the plug. Better yet, I'd get an extension cord.Β

iPhones don't come with an extension cable on purchase and it's inconveniently expensive. The same problems go for all of my iPads. Like, who thought it was a good idea to put the short charging port on the bottom of the iPad? It's so bad.Β
