Here's my newest world in Minecraft, taking advantage of the new jungle biome. I'm still building but I'm basing the idea of circular buildings built in the highest trees, with bridges spanning between, after the Channelwood age in the original Myst: [link]

So far I've got my main house/fortress completed.. it was the largest most tall tree I reached first on my journey. It's a three level building, first level is my greenhouse and bedroom (complete with music-box) second floor is a large patio with supply chests and a work-bench. And the top floor is a small look-out point with my furnaces.. for practical reasons so the smoke doesn't fill up the inside of the building. XD

The second building isn't actually anything in particular but a half-way point between trees, there's also a ladder going down the support-beam for easy access to that part of the jungle. I've had to cut down SO many trees to make all these buildings and bridges, but luckily trees are all around me so there's no shortage of supplies. XD
