Description
Ref Sheet design by Starbunnieshalfblooda7.deviantart.com/art…
I don't have alot of time right now to finish the art for this, so here's a bit of it not entirely colored. It's enough to use for reference when reading the books at least. To rehash, this is not a creepypasta character, duh. She is from a scifi-fantasy series called HalfBlood that I'm adapting into an simple animated series. The themes are supposed to teach about self worth and loss, but it's still a work in progress.

Story:
Alexandra was born on a farm in the middle of the Chicago boonies after the end of a world war. Her parents were loving and raised her out of the influence of people so she wouldn't be hurt. Trust in humanity and people in general wasn't common anymore, and the only thing holding order in the country was the idea that chaos would come from spite. At age five on her mothers birthday, her house was burned down by hunters searching for her and people like her; HalfBlood children. The Order had killed them and she had only escaped because of her aunt and uncle showing up for her mothers birthday that evening. She didn't know they were dead, or at least not for certain, and she never found out. She didn't know why they wanted HalfBlood children, she only knew why they killed her parents, or why they would. Murdering HalfBlood's was the Orders right of passage to becoming a full fledged member. They had painted a target on her and her parents back, so her aunt planned to take her away right after their funeral before the Order could find her.
The evening of the funeral was a bloodbath where the lives of her aunt and uncle were undoubtedly ended before her eyes. She was taken by the Order and suffered through a year old solitary and torture for unknown reasons, finally escaping with the help of a rouge Guardian(the people that make up the Order with unique and personal powers). It took over a year for the now 6 year old to integrate into a normal adoptive family. She was secluded, hostile to others, mentally exhausted, and it took months to even allow anyone to touch her. She slept too much and ran away often as far as she could before being caught by Jordan(the rouge guardian tasked with making sure she settled into the family that would hide her. She even sealed the HalfBlood part of her away before leaving.). The past never seemed to let her go, and denial never did either. She didn't trust anyone at all, and always believed her family would come back for her.
Eventually she became used to the people around her, but after what felt like forever of being treated as a monster, she had no value to her life and felt herself a burden as she become more self-conscious. She was 14 at this point and finishing her last year of junior high home schooling, long forgetting the painful things that had happened to her, her loving parents, Jordan, and what she was. All that was left was the feeling of emptiness, of loneliness, and no self-worth. Her adoptive family, with kind hearts and good intentions, had come to make her feel like a burden. It was to a point where she wanted to go somewhere else, so she talked them into sending her to a private school, any school, near by. In the partially reconstructed city of Chicago, in a large crater with a newly planted forest stood the 5 buildings of Chicago's most private school: Lake Forest Academy
She didn't like the idea of going to school with a bunch of special needs kids as she viewed what the school was. That was what the description of the school said on the pamphlet she received after applying. She was going to do it, that was already decided, but it was more of an impulse decision.
Upon arriving with a monthly allowance in one hand, a duffel bag in the other, she said her final goodbyes to her sit in mother. She didn't know why, but she felt this stab of regret and remorse for herself, or was it for the idea of loosing yet another parent? At this point, even though she was numb to the feeling, with most of the memories seized to the past, she was going to regret leaving her mother.
She walked into lake forest and her entire life changed.
First she met Terrence Barton; a witty musician with a hot temper and passion for manipulation. He gave her a tour, which she was then introduced to Jordan. As an antisocial person who only spoke to close family, she didn't know how to converse properly. Surprising enough, they were completely okay with it, and were very opening. It was the kind of feeling she hadn't been able to get from all of the people who looked at her with pity and support in the past. She couldn't remember who Jordan was, but she did feel a strange familiarity with her.
Next she was sorta introduced to James; a quiet, and dark looking guy with a major case of baby face. He dismissed her and left her wondering why the hell he had treated her like some kind of play thing, flirtatiously, in his first impression. She dismissed it, wanting to keep to herself, and decided to keep her social interactions with these friendly people to a minimum. She never though of herself as worth anything, so why start now?
The end of the tour led her to her room. She unpacked her things and fell asleep earlier than she ever did. Socializing was exhausting, and she seriously considered calling this whole school thing quits. Why was someone like her making so many stupid choices that would up putting her into so many peoples lives? They didn't need someone like her to drag them down, and she was probably going to. She tried to keep the interactions to a minimum, but every turn, someone was there. The school felt so tiny despite 1500 students being enrolled and living on campus.
The slowly broke down her walls. With the encounter with Kristian, though, all of that work shattered. He singled her out as James new love interest, and he hated James. He caught her after school one evening in her dorm and beat her bloody and until she couldn't stand. James ended it, but she watched him break down in front of her. For only knowing him for maybe a month, he felt like shit over it. But it was her fault, all of it was her fault? She was the person at fault, she was the reason he was crying after all. What kind of monster causes a friend to cry!?
He became incredibly close to her, even more flirty, despite her efforts to push him away. No one left her alone, she had no free time, and she was a burden. This was probably the worst decision ever. Why was she such a monster? Why? She couldn't rap her head around it.
Soon something became very apparent, and that was that he wasn't going anywhere. She couldn't do anything about it.
A few weeks after the incident, she hadn't heard from Kristian at all, but jealousy was stirring in Terrence. Alexandra wasn't perfect, but he called dibs on the newbie and James overstayed his welcome. He spent a week trying to ruin his reputation, and planted hints prior that he wasn't a good person. Jordan tried to pull on Terry's leash and get him to stop plenty of times, but nothing could get him to control the darkness inside him. This ended in a fight, and James confessing his feelings to Alexandra. She declined him and ran away, It always felt like she was running, but she didn't know what from.
He didn't run after her, why didn't he run after her. She managed to get to her dorms before breaking down. Kristian, Terry, and now this? Did she did this? Was she the one. The line between regret and confusion was blurring, and she didn't know where she stood. Everything she had through for a long time came to a screeching halt in just a handful of words. "I'm in love with you, you saved me from myself." How could she have saved anyone in just a short amount of time? How could she be worth anything, how could she be anything but a stain on the Earth? She looked at herself in the mirror, and what she saw was the little girl who had gone through torture and loss and forgotten it all. She wasn't restrained anymore; her eyes held the shimmer of moonlight on dew on late summer morning. Who was she? What was she? Monster or human?
Everything stopped making sense. Every memory she ever had swirled around in her head into a mess of phrases, meaningless words, images of a long forgotten childhood and the cold, damp dark. The necklace she had always kept(that was how Jordan sealed the HalfBlood trait since I didn't mention it before) shattered into tiny shards over the carpet. She didn't want to look in the mirror again, she didn't want to do anything. She wanted the words in her head, the whispering of different voices referring to her as a monster to stop. They swirled around until her mind focused on just one. "The only monsters are the ones we make ourselves to be." She looked up, and saw every bit of herself that rung true.(This is a meaningful character description, sorry for the long bio.) Silver hair fading into a light gray set of wolf ears. Her blemishes and uneven freckles were masked under a tint of blue, one of her eyes that had always been blind in her memory was glowing a different hue. It looked gross and depleted: She hated it. Her body ached, her mind wasn't exactly straight, but she felt as if she was going to puke.
James knocked on the door. She hid everything the best she could, including the bushy tail that stretched out behind her. She didn't want to talk to him, but she cracked the door.
He makes his way into the room by slightly forcing it and discovers what she is. She finds out that he already knew from the start.
The school was a school for special needs so to speak, which actually translated into it being a school for ostracized non-humans. The people who ran lake forest made a safe haven to hide students from the eyes of the Order.
It wasn't perfect, which she soon found out, so it came as no surprise that the risk of the Order finding the place when she enrolled was high. They stormed the school, broke through all the defenses, and the school had to evacuate.
A handful of students remained on campus. Alexandra, James, Kristian, Jordan, Terry, and 3 other students who later died fighting. They were after their creation, what they had been searching for for a long time until they could finally see her soul(that's what the halfblood trait is) as more than just human. She had a powerful soul, visible above the barrier, but she was a weak person.
They fought and the only people who came out of it alive were Alex, Terry, and Jordan. The other 5 students and a handful of teachers died with the Order's puppets.
A quick explanation on A7: This experiment took the research that caused a war with AI's in this alternate and more advanced world in partnership with a semi-human organization called the Order. The fragile and scared government had to keep its shit together, and in doing that they waged war with a new species that had been discovered by the public before the war called HalfBloods, which were slandered and told to be demons and monsters by the government's propaganda. After the experiments were shut down and turned towards the idea of an AI, the information was stored away. After the war, the unstable government was only held together by a string of fear that another war would happen, and that spite would end the human race for the last time. The government made the irrational decision on how to unite the people under one flag once again, and what they decided was to create powerful and obedient HalfBloods to take out their own kind. The A7 experiments started here. They first started with the idea that they could turn humans into soldiers, but humans died to easily as making their souls more powerful was impossible without killing them. The halfblood were a fluke. They had captured a decedent of a halfblood, and the experiments killed him alot slower. They eventually found, after just a few years of testing, that HalfBlood, Code One(decedents of two full blooded halfbloods)children had the highest survival rate. Alex was the first successful try with their enhancements on halfblood's. She escaped after they finally completed what they were searching for, and the first part of the project was done. In escaping, they destroyed all of their research and the warehouse, so the only remaining evidence of it was her. So they searched, they killed her adoptive family quickly after finding her, and continued trying to get their key to unity and world domination back.
