Description
Sometimes disguises work, sometimes they don't and that's when things get loud.Just a little doodle to help me wind down after work while I figure out how to redo a few pictures. I did a couple of drawings before christmas but looking at them now I can see that they need to be refined and this time I won't be trashed when I do them.

Love this guy.
Everything form his scar-shawl-blanket thing, to his camouflaged rifle, to the drifting cinders suggesting he has just blown some shit up.Β I like the ways we can tell his armor is really bulky without him looking comically immobile, and your interest in pouches should be fed by any means.

Thanks One of the hardest things about drawing these guys is getting the armour to look bulky without making it look ridiculous.

Ah, I love it whenever you draw RCs.Β The organic looking weahter-worn cloak works a lot better over Katarn armor than I would have expected.Β Great work man.Β This has a got a great "concept art" look to it.

Thanks, chief It was inspired by an old clone wars comic I read that was drawn in the style of Tartakovsky's cartoon, I can't remember what it was called but the RC squad in it wore cloaks to sneak in some place. Concept art is a good term for it, it's given me some ideas. The rest of the page is covered in sketches of what his disguise looked like before it got shot up and blown off.

Ah yes, I think I know what you're talking about.Β I never actually picked up any of those "Clone Wars Adventures" comics, but I remember that a few of them featured commando squads.

It was fun but getting the characters to match up from one panel to the next was difficult. I'd get distracted and suddenly a scar would be on the other side of their face or armour damage would shift/appear. If I ever get into digital art I'd like to give it another go

I understand, I myself would really like to make a comic series. And this Christmas I got Walcom, however I know itβs gonna take a lot of practice to make it. Anyways keep up the great work.

I rarely see Clone concepts like this, like the Halo Reach work by Isaac Hannaford. It's refreshing to see the crisp and clean contrasted by the grittier, more rugged look of a soldier. In any art style, the scarf or shemagh REALLY brings that out.
