Peridot. You're never going to learn how to read if you don't even look at what Robin is trying to teach you.Poor Robin is teaching away, just happy that his ex-criminal friend wants to learn how to read, and Peridot is just staring at his face. xD And of course, he has his cellphone in hand. It's funny because I never actually noticed that I always draw him with some form of technology (usually his cellphone) close at hand (or in hand) until Jetaru mentioned it to me. lol x)
I've been looking at a lot of old illustrators and their art lately, so this style was probably inspired by it. cx
I am probably going to submit a colored version some time, but I just thought I'd submit this first, since I kind of died and feel like I haven't been drawing these two enough--at least not enough to balance out Jetaru's drawing of them. Which is here

It does have the feeling of the classic illustrators, especially since it's in black and white, and there are so many nice lines. *u*

I don't know why, but I think my favorite part of this (besides Peridot being cute and holding a cell phone in his hand and staring up at Robin) is Peridot's eyes. They just look so glossy and puppy. Sooo cute. And I love how Robin looks like he doesn't get enough sleep (even though he sleeps more than Peridot does), and I love how you drew Robin's eyebrows. And how you got his clothing right.

xD Oh yeah, haha I was talking about that with Jetaru. He uses the voice typing app to text and just sounds out incoming texts really slowly, and sometimes just guesses what it's saying based on a few words. Mosty, he uses his phone for the game apps. He also knows how to read a lot of video game jargon because he games so much. Other than that though, he reads extremely slowly and sometimes incorrectly .
