AMERICAN APPAREL SEZ IT'S OK RITE? hahah, but ze usually wears tights or leggings (modified to have a shorter right leg) but for this ref I wanted to show zir stump properly. I also phoned in the prosthetic leg, Azul doesn't like using it much zirself, but any general leg-prosthetic will probably be OK. ==

5'11 | Azul is tall with asymmetrically cut long black hair, dark tan skin, and pale blue-grey eyes. | As a result of zir birth anomaly, ze is missing most of zir right leg and zir right forearm. Ze also has braces, for the teeth.
| Azul generally dresses pretty fem, but isn't really trying to prove anything...usually a bit goth or trashy urban [think kind of Kreyshawn or Yo-Landi] is lately into the whole "pastel" thing. |

bio: Azul is one sibling in a set of conjoined twins. Identical and separated shortly after birth, ze and zer sibling Hush are extremely close, but often battle between their joint desire to shut out the rest of the world and be recognized as separate beings. Azul does well in school but most things bore zem. Azul has high aspirations, but keeps these desires a secret even from zer sibling, afraid that will sound ridiculous.

personality: Azul is kind of a dick, no bones about it. Ze can be fairly sensitive to both criticism and kindness, feeling that the latter is often a veiled means at the former. Azul is more socially gregarious than zir sibling, but is also more prone to shutting zerself in their bedroom. Ze has many friends, but none are really that deep. The few close friendships Azul has are mostly with zir live-in relatives; particularly Hush, but often keeps secrets from them, too. Azul can be very acidic or very sweet, but their is a camp air to zer public persona.

history: Azul and Hush were born to a mother they only recognize as their non-biological "Auntie"; their fathers raised them and they thought very little of it until they entered school and began to understand a little more about reproduction. They were raised in a very large, extended family who are at least rather progressive...Azul and zer mother are actually best friends, though neither seems aware of the birth-connection. Azul's parents are rather "hand's-off", which Azul prefers, because it allows zer to be reclusive and secretive without any questions. One of these secretive affairs is Azul's continual exploit of zer and Hush's medical conditions to sell excess and 'unneeded' prescription drugs, notably adderal and painkillers.

relationship w/ monster: Azul feels warm and comforted by VC, their non-verbal communication and relative size disparity makes Azul feel less socially pressured and safe. Azul doesn't quite feel at home in the water, but feels about as awkward on land as the idea of VC on shore.

VAST C ["VC"]
diet: filter feeder, VC catches clouds of plankton in it's mouth-webbing, then uses some kind of baleen to strain out the water.

bio: VC is primarily a deep-sea creature, but will come to shallower bodies of water and shoreline.

personality: VC is still like deep water, a liquid-acting creature, forming it's self to become one with those around it. Quite literally "going with the flow", most interpersonal concerns are alien to it.

history: ?? The VC doesn't remember a time it didn't exist, but does remember a time when other “VC” existed, where did they go? VC is glad it found it's Azul, but sometimes feels lonely.

relationship w/ human: It's strange, before Azul, VC would note the absence but not know what to feel of it. With Azul, VC is able to lift the little creature's burdens, and, acting in kind together, VC begins to know how and when to feel. When Azul leaves it's embrace, it recognizes an unaccountable longing to leave the ocean; an idea as utterly unthinkable to it as wanting to stop breathing for a human. Of note and particular joy, VC's body seems made for temporary cohabitation with smaller life forms; it's transparent “cheek-pouch” at the top of it's head can be expanded – even with surface air! - for short rides when a smaller creature, say a human child, crawls in it's mouth.
