Yep a genuine Fairy Amazon, only about 5 1/2 inches (or little more than 14cm for the rest of the world) tall.

Once a prisoner (of war) of Rome, she was sentenced to fight in the assorted lessor Provincial Coliseums. How was she to know that gladiators actually got (for the time) pretty good medical treatment. Xanthippe was expecting a death blow before she was hauled off, thinking they were going to let an infection painfully finish her before she got to the big time (Roman Coliseum). Instead she got bandaged and treated by the Medici (actually trained by Galen) at the healers local temple. Their version of a hospital.
An Amazon supporter slipped her what was supposed to be poison as a way to escape form arena life. It did that, but she ended up transformed into a fairy instead.
