Description Another commission that I did this past week, I really like the simplicity of it.

The back disk is a 16g copper that I hammered the crap out of, and then layered a little piece of brass on top

This is brilliant, like you I love the simplicity, but the textures really make it stand out. Inspires me to try something similar in wood.

I've used the idea for the front feature of a box I'm working on. Background disk of New Guinea Rosewood burl with a hammered brass centerepiece. I'll credit you with the inspiration when I post it.

Rosewood and brass what a beautiful combo, I have a friend that likes to carve rosewood wands and it is such a gorgeous color. Thank you for the credit, I think your work is absolutely breathtaking.
