I learned a basic precept of figure drawing as a child, in a book I came upon by chance. Regrettably, the title and author have been lost to my memory, but the rule still stands - draw the subject naked first, and then add on your clothes. I thought it strange at the time, but it really is handy now... although in cases like this, it can make for some awkward, unintentional fanservice. Oops.
