Description
It all started at that hardware store. That’s when our story together begins. You saw me and our eyes locked. You were so beautiful. You looked like you had been crying. A girl as beautiful as you doesn’t deserve to cry unless it is for joy or laughter. We left the store and you took me back to your house. Your room was quite nice and very organized. You began writing in your journal. In there I saw song lyrics, poetry, drawings, and much more. You had a gift. It was truly beautiful. Then you put your pen and journal down and began to sob. I wish I could have comforted you. You then grabbed a knife and cut your left forearm. The blood dripping down your arm and hitting the hard wood floor. How could you do that? I later thought to myself, “How could someone make her do that?” I felt useless. I stayed over at your house that night. You got up the next morning, dreading the thought of going to school. You took me with you. The second we walked into the doors of school. Some one called out to you. “Look it’s Goth Chick,” the first girl said. “Have fun slitting your wrists? Freak,” the second girl replied. You looked down at your shoes and began to cry silently. The third girl knocked the books out of your hands and threw you against the hard metal lockers. “Cut deeper next time,” the second girl said, spitting on you. The three monsters walked away laughing their cruel, evil laugh. I was horrified. Those monsters made her cut herself. School finished with name calling every which way. You left school in tears. We went to the park. The clouds were grey and gloomy. You then proceeded to tie me to a tree branch. “No, what are you doing,” I thought to myself. “No! STOP! PLEASE STOP!!! DON’T DO IT!! IT WILL GET BETTER I PROMISE!!” You began thrashing around violently, still crying. Then, I felt your body fall cold. You hanged there. Lifeless. How could people do this? How could people drive someone so talented and kind to end their life? I am so sorry because, the worst part about this is, I’m the one who physically ended your life.Sincerely,
The Rope
