Description His mouth keeps running
All I can hear is him saying
I am worth little more than the scum
On his polished shoes.
Suppose I am scum
Because he brings his boot heel down
On the heads of all minorities.
The ones running from a war zone,
The ones shot in our backyards
Because their skin isn't a shade
Of "safety,"
Those that love freely
Who were not born “correctly”.

My skin color is safe
My nationality safe
But my gender is hazardous
My age, dangerous
My gender preference
the noose around my neck
that grows tighter
The more he speaks,
The more his hate garbled words
Rationalize the fists the collide
With the faces of those
That dare call him out
As Beelzebub.
Though the satanic
Could care less about
Who fucks who
And who loves who,
Because sinning is natural.
Though sinning is human
It
Strings us up in religious piety

Worrying was never a factor
In who I loved
In who looked beautiful.
But I worry for my wandering eyes,
That appraise the curves,
To  hail and crave  the beauty of my sisters
In womanhood.

I am scared that one night
Someone might break open
My skull
In a haze of rage fueled red.
Disgusted
Appalled
With me for being me.
Nightmare marathons
Conclude that  there will be no defense
Not in the moment
Not even past it
When my body
Broken
My spirit
Shattered
I will be looked at
As sinner who
Deserved the agonies,
Because I was born
A hazard.
