Description
I saw a woman on the busHair hacking
Blonde splotched
Withering in places
Rotting in others
Like diseased grain.
Her bone white eyes
Mismatched in its attentions.
One that focused
Yellowed about the iris.
The other searching out
The air that chatted with her.
She prettied her rag strands
Waving to an unseen crowd
Of walkers and runners
As though she were a queen
Beholding her land
Beholding her subjects.
I wished myself like her
To step about so assuredly
So absurdly
In madness and glee.
