This piece has a wonderful sense of dramatic doom to it
The dark clouds and the bright explosion of light really enhance one another via contrast. One thing which I think could use a bit of work are the areas where the light reflects off the clouds. They're well placed and give a good sense of depth and form, but some areas don't seem quite as well blended, like they have a wobbly paintbrush stroke appearance. Maybe you could experiment with adding extra midtones to make the blending more seamless?
Overall, I find your usage of a predominantly dark colour palette to be very effective in evoking a bleak atmosphere and sense of futility. I also think the blurring of the city edges is a nice touch; it makes it look as if the city is relentlessly being enveloped and eroded away.

Ultra sweet!!!! If the world is taken over by lifeforms from another planet I hope they realize the prophetic vision that many people have forseen, that we will be powerless!!! Nothing is quite as frightening as that.

oh wow, cool dramatical scene! I like how you rendered the gigantic explosion, maybe there is too much contrast with the city, it seems taken by a photo because the explosion is smoothly painted and the city it totally sharp edged, I would clean just a little bit those edges...then the image would take a lot more effect!
