A commission I got from my pal, AussieNeon . I drew his character, Atsuko, in a cyberpunk setting. This was a really cool challenge for me to do! I kinda felt pressured cause Aussie's really good at this sort of thing, and I'm a bit of a noob, lol. I wanted to make sure that it was up to the usual standard, is what I'm saying. When doing this, I realized how closely related film noir and cyberpunk is. Cyberpunk is basically film noir, but in color. Hey, that vibes well with me! Once I realized that, it was a lot easier to come up with a general atmosphere. I used a lot of the noir tropes, like reflective surfaces, etc. I think it turned out pretty well! Stuff like this is always fun to do background-wise, because you get to make up a lot of stuff to make the setting feel lived in.

I never thought I'd be able to do something like this (especially the background) but wow. That's why you practice! I remember only a year ago I couldn't draw one to save my life, and now I'm kinda okay at it. You know, there's people who draw the same thing all the time, and that's cool, but... why not challenge yourself with something different? Change it up a little! You'll be surprised at what experimenting can do.
