In Bolt 248, Carmelo Norwood, son of Lola Norwood, and adopted nephew of her boyfriend, Malcolm Lucas, spots his aunt, looking off into the distance like a classic Universal horror movie heroine, being followed by a dark figure. However, that figure is not exactly linked to this story's title, as he is something new. However, as Bolt 248 shows, before the big twist involving Lola and a 'absent' man, he will have a name: Silver Fang. View and enjoy.

P.S. Silverfang is basically transforming; due to his unique origin, it is taking longer than usual for him to change. And yes, a certain strange guardian will rear his claws starting in Bolt 249(His initials are WB). Read Bolt 248 to see the big twist-it is really BIG!(All caps for dramatics).

P.P.S. Before I forget, Carmelo Norwood has no idea what has been revealed in Bolt 248, nor does he know that Malcolm Lucas, the man he adopted as his uncle, and the Bolt, the hero he loves, are the same person.

As of Bolt 249, four Balverines have appeared in the Bolt Chronicles: Victor Franken, the first Balverine, the Black Balverine, who was number two and way more evil, Silverfang, whose identity is currently unknown, and the White Balverine, whose identity will be revealed again within 'Return of The Balverine'. The Black Balverine is a mutated demi-demon called Mr. Spook, who was once bonded to the now imprisoned Ronald Thorpe. who tried to gain a pardon from prison on January 6th(see Bolt 201), the disgraced would-be ex politician using a deal with the devil to avoid prison after being convicted decades ago. His deal was actually with Blight, Chief Demon of the Ninth Circle, causing Thorpe to be altered into a hideous monster, whose left face, as Mr. Spook, was badly twisted.

For new readers. the first Balverine appeared within Bolt 17-18('Trail of The Balverine'), the Black Balverine made his first appearance within Bolt 68, the second chapter of 'Cry of The Balverine', the second Bolt Halloween Special, with the White Balverine appearing in Bolt 71-72; he later met the Balverine within the Shadowedge in Bolt 192('Hunt of The Balverine')
