Description
Here he is. Mr. 's commissioned sculpture of Cryptosporidium 137. I made him with four(4) different Sculpey polymer clays: Regular white, Super, Super Firm, and black, red and glow-in-the-dark Premo.I made his collar, a little button on his backpack and elements of his gun out the glow-in-the-dark clay, seen in the upper right corner, colored with a bit of blue permanent marker. I took the picture using a black-light, camera couldn't pick up the glow well enough in the straight dark.
The base is made of solid aluminum.
The worst thing happened to this guy during shipping. Despite all that I did to wrap and protect him, he arrived a complete wreck! He looked like he had a full milk crate dropped on him!
I now know that if I'm to ship a sculpture, I'm going to have to make a crate or something! Apparently cardboard and "FRAGILE," "DO NOT CRUSH," and "THIS END UP" written all over it doesn't cut it.
The download is huge, 4000 x 5000 pixels. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.
Here are all the WIP pictures:1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 .

I am a sculptor who mainly uses polymer clays and epoxy clays to make my projects. I specialize in animal and non-human characters. I could do a human character but I promise nothing. My work speaks for itself, as do my customers. I am willing to do an art trade but because of the inherent nature of sculpture work, I can all but guarantee you won't like the terms. Because of the responsibilities of life and the complexities of sculpture work, it is very difficult for me to give an accurate date of completion. If project is needed by a certain time, be sure to contact me well before you need it; especially for something like a wedding cake topper or a gift of some sort. Some projects may take a few weeks while others take months.
[NOTE: Some examples given are a few years old and are not necessarily a reflection of my current sculpting abilities. My skill have improved since the time these pieces were completed.]

Yes, I'm afraid you would. It is a commission after all. It took quite a bit to make this one, I couldn't make another for free.
Thank you, I'm glad you like it.

Great use of color and I love where you used the glo clay. I found a site by accident that makes light sensitive paints in different colors. They glo for a long period of time when exposed to light. They also come in a transparent form I believe.

I HIGHLY recommend BHIAJ's work....it was NOT, repeat, NOT his fault that sculpture was 'crushed'...because I saw the way that it was packed and labled. I SHOULD have photographed the box, (my wife picked it up at post office as I'm mostly homebound and had 'missed' first delivery attempt)...and then OPENED it in the presence of the Post Master...
I could have CRIED when I saw him SQUASHED to half the size you see in the images...with his head broken/bent back...neck completely 'shattered' into 'crumbs'...and both knees, both arms dislocated, both hands and gun...
Some of the crumbs I could 're-attach' with superglue and also I used some two-part epoxy...but I will have to re-paint the patched joints and the 'glow-ring neck'...which you can see from the images is 'tre cool'....
I KNOW, (from previous 'experience' with local p.o. what they would have said and done...DEPITE packing and insurance...so I took it upon myself to 'repair' as that is something I can still do...(have shared repaired images with BHIAJ, before I repaint and 're-glow)...
Someone HAD to have SEEN the fragile, this end up and all of that and purposely set something DIRECTLY on the box to crush it EXACTLY as it was....it was an odd size so if it had been put on it's side, (contrary to instructions on box)...it would have taken more 'weight'/pressure'...
The sculpt is still 'amazing'...and I have other work I hope to have done by him....but NEXT time...I SHALL open it at the post office...NO MATTER what condition the 'box' is in and if it is 'crushed, killed, destroyed'...Going 'postal' will have a new 'meaning'....at least FINANCIALLY...for them!
but it is a lovely sculpt and something once I've 'repainted' over rebuilt joints....will 'guard' my desk from intruders, alien 'probes' and errant cheeseburgers of death!
Slishfully,
Sgt DWW-btod...

you are most welcome!
I finally got images of him/his box etc..(not that it matters at this point)...but glad you took images 'pre-mailing' so folks could really appreciate the efforts you took...
I will keep you in mind for future commissions, but right now, have to have malignant prostate removed, my wife is divorcing me and VA is futzing with my benefits...but other than that...week isn't starting too bad for a monday?
Really, I have had 'worse' weeks....just not sure WHEN...

I did, for a lot. What happened was either deliberate or absolute carelessness because it was crushed vertically.

Thank you! I did that with texture gel.
I did all that except for the box within a box thing. To me, it seems kinda stupid to send something in a box that's 4 times its size. With the flat-rate boxes they have I could send something up to 60+ pounds for the same price, so putting a wooden box inside wouldn't be any extra expense. I could send the thing packed in concrete!
Plus not all my stuff is of a humanoid shape or even that size, so either method wouldn't work all the time.

AH!!
Thats awesome!!!
If you dont mind me asking, is there any way possible to have clay glow in the dark but with a red-ish, or orange tint to it, other than the green tint, like in your sculpture.
I'm Making Zero from The nightmare Before Christmas, and i'm trying to make it as accurate as possible,
so I wanna make it so that his nose glows, just like in the movie.
I'm done with everything else about him, i just need to figure out a way for his nose to glow.
Please and thank you!

Well, the clay I used was Sculpey Premo glow-in-the-dark clay, which is normally that greeny-off white. You can alter the color of the glow-white clay with permanent markers but it will always glow green. Be careful of how much marker you wipe into the clay, if you put too much in, it will dim the glow.
I think Sculpey makes red and/or orange glow-in-the-dark clay but I don't know if it glows that color. I don't think they make other glow colors in Premo brand.
Hope this helps!
