Personality:
Ban is generally a jolly and upbeat person, He's gentle and kind, but don't expect him to play nice if you ever steal something from his shoppe. He's intimidating when he wants to be, but as much as he could probably strangle you, he's a big softie that would never even dream of hurting a fly. He's a lover of all kinds of foods and wants to travel the world tasting as many exotic dishes he can.
He's also very huggable. Seriously, he's a giant marshmallow. But with that being said, insults can really hurt him. He especially can be pretty self-conscious about his weight, even though chinchillas are generally supposed to be around his range. Though, a lot of people don't seem to know that.
He's just a big soft bean. Must protect.
History:
Ban was raised in a generally safer environment, sheltered by his parents, he was never taught about death or illness until one day when he was ten years old when his younger sister died of illness.
Distraught, he ran away and eventually found himself in the company of a band of travelling merchants. They took him in and taught him all about barter and wares, then he left to go search for a new place to live and sell in, where he stumbled across a map and ticket to lilypad town.

Other:
He's great at cooking, he could probably be on a competitive cooking show if he wanted to.
He has a merchant's boat, where he sells the things he comes across in his travels.
He doesn't get sea-sick, but he's probably had multiple costumers who have. Don't worry though, he gives them a free smoothie.
