Description
For just about the past two years now, I've been playing in a Power Rangers RPG using the system designed my Renegade. It's been a LOT of fun. So, with this current inspiration of wanting to make rangers again, I decided to strike while the iron is hot, so to speak, and bring me and my group's team to pixel life!

The year is 2022. It has been 16 years after the Power Rangers had defeated Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd and have not been seen since.

While observing a solar eclipse on the UC Angel Grove campus, 5 young adults noticed that once the moon had passed, there were now two moons instead of one.

And they were the only ones alarmed by it.

Being directed to the desert by a mysterious app they had discovered on there phones (and finding the new hit single/Academic report by Lunar Physicist Dr. Ariana Grade "Two Moon" that let them know there were "...Two Moons, Two Moons // There have always been Two Moons..." ) they soon found themselves at a hidden underground Power Chamber and were gifted the powers of Cryptids by Zordon and his companion/reddit mod Alpha 9.

And thus began what Zordon might consider his biggest mistake - bigger than the '69 team's disastrous excursion to the moon: giving these chucklefucks powers.

After a few months of brutal monster curb-stompings, finding Space Twitter (Spacer), absolute disregard of the ranger "rules" and even getting their powers stripped for "escalation" and "excessive force" before regaining their powers by finding a True Connection to the Grid (which THEN the team showed Zordon what the hell excessive force REALLY was) it seemed the day was won and the evil defeated. And their thanks? Zordon putting an APB out on them with the rangers of the Universe.

...and then the Cracks began to emerge. Forcing Zordon to make nice with the Cryptid rangers and send them out into the Universe to find the source of the damage.

Pretty sure he just wanted them off Earth.

Black Owlman Cryptid Power! - Dave Croft
"Wait, you all see TWO moons right now when there's suppose to be one? Um, hey... wanna join Film Club?"
Leader of the Cryptid Rangers before stepping down from the role in the "Second Season". Does NOT get along with Zordon. Draws his powers from the Red Spectrum

Grey Ozark Howler Cryptid Power! - Siobhan Sato
"Okay. I'm scheduling a Sensitivity Seminar for EVERYONE after this fight"
Lover of spreadsheets and Second-in-Command of the team who becomes self-appointed leader in Season 2. Draws her powers from the Yellow Spectrum

Red Jersey Devil Cryptid Power! - Michael "Crichton" (he's never told the team his last name, canonically, so that's what he's been given by Dave)
"Wait, you're asking the guy who can't lie to lie? You know how bad this is going to go, yeah?"
The resident techie and voice of reason(-ish) of the team. Draws his powers from the Blue Spectrum

White Thunderbird Cryptid Power... - Lex Forester
"I'm not saying we shouldn't trust the floating alien head that has zero investment in our well-being... Wait, no, that's exactly what I'm saying"
The Cryptid Ranger's sharp-shooter and encourager of all things good and bad (mostly bad). Draws his powers from the Pink Spectrum

Green Squonk Cryptid Power! - Brad Bradley
"Hey, if you let me in without an appointment, I'll give you 2, no, 3 free smoothies at the Juice Bar."
Smoothie-maker extraordinaire, and the heart of the team. Leaves after the defeat of the Big Bad of Season 1. Draws his powers from the Black Spectrum

Purple Phantom Kangaroo Power! - Danny Taslim

Social Media savant and the literal Poster Boy for the Silver Guardians. Finds his way onto the Cryptid team at the start of Season 2. Draws his powers from the Black Spectrum

So, the color-coding of the team is slightly odd due to RPG mechanics and house rulings. Pretty much the detailing color of the suit denotes the type of ranger they are, despite the primary color of the suit, i.e: the Owlman is primarily black in color, but he's *technically* the Red Ranger, while Jersey Devil is Red, but the Blue Ranger. Confusing? A little. But it's super fitting considering how chaotic in the best way this game has been.
