FINALLY! After several months of drawing and re-drawing the Kaiju from seeing them in the trailers and catching individual details little by little, I have finally finished my tribute to possibly the best movie ever (in my opinion). It started off as just Knifehead, then as more Kaiju were revealed, I added Leatherback. Finally, while I touched up the ink, I wanted to add Otachi because, well, there was the space and I say the more Kaiju the merrier. After an arduous picking apart of details, inking, and editing, I present: Kaiju Assault. I really wanted to evoke a sense of spectacle and adventure that del Toro tried to express through Pacific Rim. Be sure to watch Pacific Rim in theaters July 12 and witness the adventure movie of the century.
