If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?Few things bring me as much spontaneous happiness as when I'm out and about in the real world wearing some kind DeviantArt clothing or paraphernalia and someone stops me to ask if I use the site. Everyone contributes to the community in different ways, and I truly enjoy talking about their unique DeviantArt experiences and hearing their artist stories.

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?As someone who has worked at DeviantArt for fifteen years, deviants have impacted almost every aspect of my life. It brings me joy that DeviantArt facilitates all kinds of relationships and connections. Each of us has a whole lifetime of stories to share with one another, and we're all here, connected, in a way that wouldn't be possible without DeviantArt.

Online connections: what's your story?It's easy to take for granted how cool it is to live in the future. What are your preferred tools to create art?A good imagination is the starting point for many things.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?I can't say that I have a specific place that provides a wealth of inspiration. It's more about having the time and brain-space to think creatively.

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?I've said this before, but I'll reiterate it here. My years on DeviantArt have provided me a wealth of friendships I wouldn't otherwise have had the opportunity to make. These friends have opened me up to different ideas, cultures, and points of view. I'm forever grateful to have talked with every deviant who has crossed my path — at a Deviant Meet, or even in a note, comment, or journal.

Bonus memories! Every minute of the DeviantArt World Tour in 2009 — including all the new foods I experienced with new friends. Delicious seafood with ekud in Sydney, the divisive "king of fruits" with Timothy-Sim and Artgerm in Singapore, carefully crafted soup with trenchmaker in Berlin, and a custom Fella cake with bat-girl13 in Toronto, just to name a few.

Since its inception in 2004, the DeviantArt Holiday Card Project has brought a little cheer to thousands of patients in hospitals during the holiday season. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?Few things bring me as much spontaneous happiness as when I'm out and about in the real world wearing some kind DeviantArt clothing or paraphernalia and someone stops me to ask if I use the site. Everyone contributes to the community in different ways, and I truly enjoy talking about their unique DeviantArt experiences and hearing their artist stories.

How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?As someone who has worked at DeviantArt for fifteen years, deviants have impacted almost every aspect of my life. It brings me joy that DeviantArt facilitates all kinds of relationships and connections. Each of us has a whole lifetime of stories to share with one another, and we're all here, connected, in a way that wouldn't be possible without DeviantArt.

Online connections: what's your story?It's easy to take for granted how cool it is to live in the future. Well, it's the present at the moment, but it's only been a few years now that technological advancements have enabled us to connect with hundreds of thousands of people all across the globe at the push of a button.I'm not exactly the first to proclaim that the Internet allows amazing personal connections, but join me for a moment. Right now, you're reading these words on your phone, on your laptop, on your Nintendo DS browser. Maybe you're in the room next to me, maybe you're halfway around the world and we can make an Earth sandwich with two pieces of bread. Somehow you...

What are your preferred tools to create art?A good imagination is the starting point for many things.

What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?I can't say that I have a specific place that provides a wealth of inspiration. It's more about having the time and brain-space to think creatively.

What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?I've said this before, but I'll reiterate it here. My years on DeviantArt have provided me a wealth of friendships I wouldn't otherwise have had the opportunity to make. These friends have opened me up to different ideas, cultures, and points of view. I'm forever grateful to have talked with every deviant who has crossed my path — at a Deviant Meet, or even in a note, comment, or journal.

Bonus memories! Every minute of the DeviantArt World Tour in 2009 — including all the new foods I experienced with new friends. Delicious seafood with ekud in Sydney, the divisive "king of fruits" with Timothy-Sim and Artgerm in Singapore, carefully crafted soup with trenchmaker in Berlin, and a custom Fella cake with bat-girl13 in Toronto, just to name a few.

During a silly car ride, chris , TheLaurenVerse , and I came with an idea for an epic movie blockbuster: Coming in the summer 2012, the harrowing true tale of a man who burgles ham... The Hamburgler! As a result, this commissioned movie poster by boyRoland was born.

Since its inception in 2004, the DeviantArt Holiday Card Project has brought a little cheer to thousands of patients in hospitals during the holiday season. The Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating get-well holiday cards. Special thanks are deserved by Ayame-Kenoshi , madizzlee , Shyree , ikazon , and danlev for continuing the tradition of managing the Project, and to each and every deviant who has contributed to the event.
