Very nice! So, in your response to leafy did you mean you painted all the leaves the same colors then gradually worked some of them darker?

Yup! The bright cyan colour is the base colour and then I moved onto darkening some of them : )

Ahh this is so lovely! How do you paint on both the lighter coloured and darker coloured leaves so precisely? I'm new to water colours and have been wanting to draw something like that.

I use a lot of layers when I paint and start with the lighter colours and move onto the darker ones. Actually it´s a lot easier to make the darker coloured leaves on top of the light background, but if you have the patience to paint the background of the leaves darker over and over (so that the result is light leaves on top of the dark background) it totally pays off and the outcome will be really nice. I encourage you to do some experimenting on painting the leaves beforehand : )
