About the photo:I've totally fell in love for this sport: Acrobatic Gymnastics. These are the Russia triplets. A detail of a "tower" they made. I have more from this tower, including it in another colour/suit: red.

I know very little about sports photography and it's definitely not something I'm experienced with or good at, so I love looking at it when other people do it well.
The shot appealed to me even more because I used to do gymnastics. It's funny how you become so accustomed to thinking of that kind of thing in terms of how it feels to do that it's easy to forget how cool it looks to people watching.
One of my favourite things about good sports photography is that it captures the most amazing moments. Timing is so important, and it comes with being passionate about the sport you're photographing so you know just when something brilliant is about to happen. Very obviously the case here

No passado, dia 1 vi cerca de 30 minutos com os melhores momentos da competição, na rtp 2. Fiquei a imaginar onde estarias e a e a perspectiva/ângulos que usaste para tirar as fotos. Acho que fotografar espetáculos ao vivo é um desafio principalmente quanto às fotos serem in motion, não é fácil. Até aqui, vejo que o conseguiste bem.

noutro dia na paragem do autocarro conheci um rapaz. perdemos o bus. ele reconheceu-me lá do campeonato. era um dos cameras-mens. fixe, hum?

pois! mas foi no momento dos penaltys k essa noticia começou, na 2, no magazine... bah...

Eu posso imaginar, isso acontece-me quando fotografo concertos, acabo por ou ficar com uma visão parcial da coisa, só do olhar focado na máquina ou então perder momentos que davam boas fotos porque a minha cabeça começa a querer fazer headbang ahah.
Mas o que eu vi na 2: não era uma notícia do magazine. Foi mesmo o programa Desporto 2 com um compacto de 30 minutos do campeonato.
