Description We are deviants
===============

I've come to understand that I'm entirely diffrent(yet basically the same) from others. Not only in my country, not only in my race, not only in my gender, but in every way I can concieve. We all come into this world alone and have to live life alone. This makes me think of my friends and family and how special they are to me, because I share so much with no one else.

Live has been hard on my generation, but not in any conventional way. Drenshed in the angst of a debilitating depression, we have gone in search of other realities. Our only reprieve from the numbing pain comes when we temporarily escape our tortured existence with fevered eager. During these delusional flights, we search for another world, a diffrent world, where we can stop the hurting and be happy. Some find such a place and, inevitably crash landing back to misrable reality, remember it. They bring us visions of what they have found, stories of a dreamlike reality. The lucky ones, find a special kind of place, a place where pain and happiness become one. Blessed are they, for they return from delusion to paradise and one step closer to truth. The special ones show us a place of beautiful decay, where technology violently infects the symbols of traditional beauty and holiness. They are hazy views of a place where blood bubbles from fountains and chemical-poison coarses through every vain. These are not prophecies of a terrible future to befall us, they are artifacts from our current frontier, from the unknown depths of our souls. We recognize the world of our visions and know it as the true face of our reality.

Very well written. As you implied, depression and apathy are the plague of our generation. The best most can hope for is escape... but I believe you are right. That some lucky few can transcend and find the space in between, that allows this world to be bearable.
