Description
Lunar Eclipse Sequence February 20th, 2008ok since I had questions , this was not taken out of a window. It was taken over 3.5 hours outside in approx. 10F in a 10 min sequence. Not the whole sequence is shown in this picture since it would be too many moons.
Nikon D200| f/5.6 ISO 320 , the exposure was between 1/125 and 2/1

Oh my, Im lucky because I live in florida. And, Today was sunny in the 50's.Thats kinda sad that you can't see it.. I have actually never see one. I was either asleep or, didn't know (lol)

That was the longest and most complete lunar eclipse I have witnessed. It was very surreal and beautiful... just like this work!

I never understood the big deal about lunar eclipses. They just look like half-moons and quarter moons to me. Except for the orangey moon in the middle, but pink moons and orange moons happen all the time.
I'm not critiquing your image (it is good). I'm just saying I don't understand eclipses in general.

The Lunar eclipse is when the Sun, Earth, and Moon come into alignment, and the Moon's light is blocked by Earth's shadow, it appear's red due to our atmosphere, but some light still shines onto it, which is why we still see the moon in an eclipse.
Red/orange/pink moons happen often because of toxins in the air. Like, for example, after 4th of July in America, all of the black powder from fireworks makes the moon appear almost bloody red sometimes.

I've never seen a red or orange lunar eclipse. Only white. And the reason I don't think they're big deals is because they just look like half moons, or quarter moons, depending on the position of the Earth. SOLAR eclipses are awesome, but lunar is blah. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Yep it was crazy. Lucky for me I was able to just go outside my office on the deck. I just pulled up a chair and put the tripod in the corne. Ok i brushed the snow back first. heehe.

ha ha you had it way more comfortable then I did. I was in my front yard, tipod mounted and camera I only took the batteries out after every shot to run back inside to get warm ?D and I swear the cars that came through , the drivers must have thought I am crazy !
