Loss. That was the most promenent thing Patrick has experienced this year. His past lost paled to what he lost this year. Who he lost. While he grew as a person and monster, making more friends, learning how to hunt, finding someone he truly loved and wanted to spend his life with. Happiness always invited sadness. And with that lost, came the realization that no matter how strong you are, you can't escape death... but that didn't mean Patrick wasn't going to keep trying to survive. He's lost many, but he's learned to cherish those he does have even more and he'd be hell-bent on making sure he protects them.
