Had to do some Dark Souls 3 art after completing my first run. The Abyss Watcher fight was the first really impactful boss, not just due to the awesome movements and armour set but also the references to being Artorias' lineage.Went with a straight to painting and heavily contrasting style to fit the Dark Souls theme. A little rough around the edges but I'm trying to work on painting faster and more naturally, plus this seems to come across more fluid.

You've really nailed the pose, and I enjoy the expressive marks you've used to suggest the ragged armor. The orange highlights also work well. I think his silhouette could be more distinct by lightening/desaturating the background. A cool rim light from the right could help in that regards too, while also bringing out more details.

Thanks. I totally hit the feel I was going for, but it was quite hard to get the right contrast without going too dark/light and still highlighting the parts I wanted. This is quite heavy away from my normal style so the whole thing is pretty experimental to me. Maybe I'll go back and see what I can do.

Thanks, props to Fromsoft for creating such an amazing homage to their own characters. Seeing the boss/s fight between themselves like some kind of undead fight club was what really sold it for me.
