      Why do all the famous hyperboles fall short of how extreme they could be? Another thing that bothers me about them is that no one ever states the truth afterward. Here's a couple of examples:

      • I did every procedure possible in a situation like this and then some. Not really, but it might have helped if I stopped nailing your mom while doing them.

      • I left no grain of sand unturned. Maybe I should have actually checked the beach; he did become lost after we buried him below tide level yesterday.

      • I’ve heard that so many times, I might need to trigger the live grenade I have in my pocket just to escape the rest of your conversation. I was hoping to save it for the Killswitch Engage show later tonight, but you have forced me to threaten your life.
