Description
While traversing the caverns below the Thothaegor Mausoleum, Laura stumbled across something utterly horrifying.
Turning around, she came face-to-face with a…thing, suspended from the ceiling by shadowy tendrils, and covered in tumorous masses, eyes, feelers and a large gaping maw. It had a strange, almost human arm stretched out and hovering above her head, as if ready to grasp her.
The mere sudden sight of this creature completely shattered Laura’s perception of reality, and her mind instantly filled with a myriad of horrific thoughts, while her body proceeded to completely freeze for a moment.
Despite being someone with a fairly impervious and stable mind, this was something that no good person should ever have to lay eyes on. A foul, despicable abomination that should be cast back to the abyss from whence it came.
Coming back to her senses, all she could think of was to run away, to get as far away as possible and never look back. She felt sick, her head was spinning, and she had a nauseous feeling of heaviness deep within her belly. Without thinking she drew her sword, attempted to cut the creature, and ran as fast as she could into the darkness. Behind her she heard the thing screaming in agony, producing a sound that can only be described as a distorted human cry, combined with various otherworldly noises.

Laura eventually killed the puss wraith, but not without first calming herself, and trying to reevaluate her existence.
I don’t usually write paragraphs like this to go with my drawings, but I could imagine this scene so vividly in my head that I had to write it down. I hope you found some enjoyment in it.
