The kitsune that was Ran has been gone since long ago, as Yukair doesn't let her resurface unlike Chen, so we can't know wat was her origianl personality, Ran as shikigami is totally loyal to Yukair and will obey every command given by her no matter what, acting too independently alwasy has lead to the poor fox to get hit by her master to "reformat" her faulty "programing"

Kitsunes have godlike powers so she is already a big prize, but there is an extra sweet feeling when despite doing something so indescriptibe as replacing the head of a woman for a machine to make her you servant something not as morally repugnant thanks to the kitsune is question accepting that fate way before you arrival, but being certain that she will be in better hands compared to the terrible master that is Yukairi, even self aware monsters need to feel like a good guy once in a while.
