Whew! Been awhile since I've posted anything on DA! I have been super busy of late working on several books... Sonic Universe, Nickelodeon Magazine, the new Sonic Mega Drive... and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers at Boom Studios!ThisΒ is such a surreal experience coloring this book. Working on Sonic the Hedgehog, a comic book I grew up reading, is pretty awesome and exciting. And getting to work on Power Rangers, too? ANOTHER property near-and-dear to me when I was a kid?? It's nuts.
This book is AMAZING. If you guys haven't picked it up yet, I urge you to get to your local comic store and grab some issues. The covers are beautiful and Kyle Higgins writes the Power Rangers book that you always wanted to read. And Hendry Prasetya's art is crazy-good. He is an absolute pleasure to color for month-after-month. And if you've missed it in singles, it will be available in TPB later this summer!

i have how the comic heavily focuses on the green ranger more than the actual team. i have a hard time enjoying it since its for green ranger fans

Looking at the lines next to the colors like this, I really love the effects you were able to add to it when you did the colors.Β The end result is great!Β This is a comic that my son and I have read together since issue 1.

heh, you know 22 years ago there was a little bit of animosity between Sonic and the Power Rangers, since the SATAM cartoon had the same time Slot as the Power Rangers show and the ratings it lost because of that got it prematurely cancelled.Β Then again that premature cancellation prompted many fans (myself included) to begin collecting the Sonic comic, and encouraged the writers to make it less like the Adventures cartoon and more like SATAM, which is probably why it keeps going strong today.

I hate the "Power Rangers single handedly killed SatAM" Argument with a passion. People love to forget that SatAM was also preempted for sports and there was a head of ABC that just plain didn't like the show.
Ironically that exact thing happened to Power Rangers with it's 17Th season although Saban Brands bought it back when Disney dropped the ball and put the show in the 11 AM death slot.
...Sorry I get a little overly passionate about Power Rangers.
