Description
So Metroid officially had it's 35th anniversary and I wanted to do a scene to celebrate that. I recently did a scene based on Metroid Dread, but for this one I wanted to do one based off of Metroid Fusion, specifically the parts where Samus has to hide from the SA-X. I tried to make the scene more atmospheric and eerie to recreate the same suspense and "dread" those moments created.

I used the Smash Ultimate model of Samus for the SA-X and I used the Fusion Suit trophy from Brawl for Samus. That one was already posed but the model looked better than the one from Metroid Prime, so I decided to go with it and I think it works fine in the scene with the pose that it's in. For the rest of the scenery, I used a set called Damaged Corridor Construction Kit from Daz. I then adjusted the lighting to be more ominous and darker while adding a spotlight above and a little behind the SA-X to give it backlighting, which I thought helped add to it's otherworldly appearance. I also added a faint spotlight on Samus so she would stand out a little more in the dark corner.

The textures on Samus' Fusion Suit were something I also specifically tried to make look different. I made the blue parts look more like latex or plastic and the yellow parts and the helmet look more metallic. I also added the glow from the visor because I think that looks cool.

Lastly, I did some simple lighting adjustments in Photoshop and added a little extra bloom lighting.
