Description Here it is, for
This took hours... hours and hours, 2 shimeji pictures, and a crapload of screenshots. Close to 50 I think, including what didn't make it in.
This is freaking long, isn't it?

Edit: I added a base to draw a shimeji off of as the download button. Feel free to play around with it, it's a .psd file.

They all need to be pngs just to be clear, the backgrounds must be transparent, and they should be 128x128 squares. Once you've got that, you can take a shimeji you've already got and replace all of the images in that img folder with your new shimeji. I would recommend making a copy of that first file so you don't lose the original shimeji.

o3o How do you make it into an .rar so that it's animated?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HetaGarnet In reply to angeliIy [2013-03-22 00:31:17 +0000 UTC]

Um what ? .rar is like .zip, a way to archive it so it can be emailed or put up for downloads easier.

I have some questions...The number 46...46 frames for ONE behavior only ???? And how many behaviors can I make for my shimeji ??? And do you know how to interact with them, like dragging them ???

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HetaGarnet In reply to LunarStarwhisper [2013-02-22 21:04:44 +0000 UTC]

46 frames for the entire shimeji. I know I explained in detail to someone in here before and just by looking at a shimeji, the separate behaviors are pretty clear. To give you a number, I would say about 12 behaviors total in just one shimeji. And to interact, all you do is turn the shimeji on on your computer and mouse over it, then click and drag. There's also the "follow me" option, but that's it.

Where do I download a Shimeji?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HetaGarnet In reply to AngelERenoir [2013-01-19 15:40:00 +0000 UTC]

There's all kinds of places, you could google them or download them off of DA here. There's shimejis for just about every series possible, you just have to look for them. If you want to use one and make your own off of it, they're all basically the same.

Just set the picture to PNG format, and set the pixel format to 32bpp ARGB.

I don't think you can... From what I've heard anyways(doesn't use it). I think you have to save it to a .psd and open it in photoshop or gimp to do it.

Ive been scouring the internet for a tutorial telling me what each file is used for in the animation exactly, all the files are just "Shime 1, 2, 3, 4, 5" etc. i know the picture kinda tells me what the file is for, but i would like to know for sure....do you know where i can find a tut or maybe a list of what each file's animation is?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

HetaGarnet In reply to neonabyss [2012-10-11 23:19:08 +0000 UTC]

It's pretty simple. Most shimejis are generally the same, so it's easy to guess. I haven't seen any tuts like that, but I can list it off of the top of my head.
1 is the standing position, 2 and 3 are walking motions. 4 is falling.
5-10 are part of the throwing animations, although I think 5 and 6 are actually just wiggling(if you're just suspending the shimeji in the air for an extended amount of time).
11 is sitting. 12,13,14 are climbing up the side of the screen (order 12-13-12-14 repeating. 13 is the still.)
15 is special and goes with 16,17,27,28,and 29. It's a one-shot 6-file animation which goes 15-27-16-28-17-29.
18 is when she shimeji hits the bottom of the screen and 19 is it getting up. 20 and 21 are crawling, 21 being the still. 22 is jumping.
23-25 are climbing the top of the screen, ordered 23-24-23-25. 23 is the still.
26 is a second sitting picture, it changes from 11 to this if your cursor goes over halfway up the screen and it leads to the animation in 15, which 27-29 are involved with.
30-33 are sitting over the start bar. 30 is when it first sits down or is getting up, then the order for the rest is 31-32-31-33 repeating. These are about the same height as the shimeji is normally to make them fit right on the start bar.
34-36 are another walking animation if the shimeji is pushing your window away, then 37 is the final shove.
38-41 are the first duplication animation. it goes slower and the shimeji jumps away when it finishes. 42-46 are the 2nd animation, faster, and the shimeji simply falls at the end.

That's all of them!
