• Jiga-jisan (自画自賛): A Japanese proverb meaning self-praise, or to toot one's own horn. Literally it means writing your own poem on your own painting, so Italy singing praises about a rice ball with his own face on it is literal jiga-jisan.

The War of the League of Cambrai saw literally everyone fighting over Italy, including Italy. France finished off with Milan, while Spain kept Naples.
Then Spain became Habsburg and ANOTHER Italian War (1521-26) was fought, but from this point on France failed to regain any territories in Italy. Failed attempts include the War of the League of Cognac, the Italian War of 1536-38 in which the Habsburg and French kings refused to sit in the same room due to their "intense mutual hatred", and the Italian War of 1551-59, in which France formally gave up.
