As a linguistics minor, it's all very interesting to me!
From what I've heard from various people, the amount of accents that are close to authentic are quite low.
I think they get a few nuances down and ignore the rest of it.
Like how Poland has the "w" sound, just through the "ł"
So they wouldn't say that they drink "vater" as long as they knew the correlation between the phonemes and letters

For Liechtenstein, I was more referring to real life than the anime--even I can tell her anime accent is all over the place.
But I read a bit on Liech's official website and it says the way they speak is more comparable to the German of Vorarlberg.  There are so many regional accents that are incredibly different from each other, but apparently it's becoming trendy to speak Swiss German slang XD

what they tried to do with the german accents
is 
like take a german with no accent
like proper german

same goes for the austrian
and then give them their accents

but
if it's an austrian from vorarlberg
this whole thing would sound differently

and would have a really really really really hard time understanding their german)


then they failed with the swiss dude

and liechtenstein has some weird accent

I read "with loads of CHHHHHHHRRRRR instead of e" instead of that and then "a instead of e"
So I imagined her saying "Hi, my name is LiCHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRchtCHHHHHHRRRRRnstCHHHHHHHRRRRin"

I like the Japanese better for story purposes, but I agree that the English is better for laughs
They all do a very good job making the accents noticeable.  I love them all
France is definitely beautiful
I don't think anybody in Britain actually talks like that, though.  It's the posh accent that's used for like TV and stuff.  But it's what's become the stereotypical English accent.

It must be weird to actually not understand people speaking your language.  My Italian teacher said she's from Padova and can't understand people from either Florence or Milan, I forget which.
English stays roughly the same wherever you go in comparison, just various words change and the pronunciation shifts
Louisiana though.  I don't think I'd be able to understand anyone from Louisiana

Is there another special way she'd pronounce "brother" though??

but then again you have to consider that there are different alemann dialects and accents again within the family (i think every swiss kanton has their own dialect again)
the vorarlberger guy ive listened to sounds kinda different from the swiss guy

if the hetalia producers were to take  a stereotypical one for a swiss english speaker

when i went to london
i think the people who spoke proper english kinda talked like him
or had the tendency to talk like him
at sightseeing places and stuff

but then i again i have a friend who lives in north
and talks nothing like that^^


and yep
from what i know about english
it stays roughly the same

but german
my friend told me, that at his workplace
the german and austrian dude prefer to talk in english

but it's not like we cant speak proper high german
we have to write it anyways

I can't really identify the differences since I don't speak German, but to me it sounds fairly straightforward.

Switzerland:
Considering the four official languages it makes sense that it would change drastically wherever you go
I squeed a bit when he said "simyoolar," it's so cute.  A hedgehog like Switzerland needs that cute accent
Switzerland randomly switching between languages and confusing everyone else, though.
It would make Liechtenstein properly cute while still being natural too

If it's sightseeing places, and they're tour guides, they may be doing it on purpose for clarity purposes.
What you're hearing is probably actually "received pronunciation," which is the standard English in things like dictionaries.  It's the accent taught to people learning English in the British fashion.
It's not unbelievable that people naturally speak like that, though.
I'm from northern New Jersey, and our accent is actually the kind you hear from newscasters, only twice as fast.

The "posh" accent is spoken by posh people, namely the royal family and upper class.  So some people copy it to seem more high-class.

It depends on the place, though.  I don't want to overstep my boundaries though, since I'm not from there.
There are some accents where you can't understand a word they're saying even if English is your native language.  My great grandfather came from Scotland and my mother could never understand his stories.

Writing vs speaking is so fascinating.
My sister's friend got in trouble for spelling things the British way ("colour" instead of "color")
Even though both are technically right.
And she was from India (either that or an Indian in England, I forget which), where they're taught that way.

Normally, I would retaliate saying that it's a comedy, but in this instance I have to say I agree with you.  The entire episode had no humorous tone in it until the narrator started talking.  Looking at it alone, it seems fine, but with the rest of the episode, I agree that it's out of place.
