Yeah, of course. The only thing that bothers me in Belarus' case is that it has really had a sad history but seems to get fairly bad treatment from the world today!
But you are correct, Ww2 was hell for everyone, and I didn't mean to undermine that fact. Let's hope and pray we'll never make those mistakes again...

I haven't really studied Belarus' history too much but I am sure it was hell to them too, but there might be Ww 3 at some point, but hopefully not.

Does this represent the Battle of Stalingrad? (I think so but I'm not sure ...)
Nice work though!

As one writer said, Fortress did not fall: she simply elapsed blood.
"I die, but I not give up! Forgive, Motherland" is the inscription, done by the unknown defender of the Brest fortress of July, 20, 1941.

Cool. Now, make Berlin 1945. Russia fight with Germany, and Belarus with Hungary.

I love how Belarus is blurrier to make Russia the main focal point of the picture! Amazing!

they're dead...
So are Belarus'
It makes the mood perfect, the attention you pay to the little details. The cut on the side of Ivan's face. The bullets in Belarus' hand, the rip in her dress...
And you do it all so well!

Are you joking or really uninformed? Because many Russians fought there in fact. Btw, one of the famouse heroes of Defense of Brest Fortress comes from my native region of Russia: [link]

Lol, no I am not, I overreacted though, because of the sole reason of Belarus being there was 'Brest Fortress is located there after all' and wrote this wrong, but saying that the only ones who fought there were Russians, IS uninformative too. Let's begin that everyone was there, belarusians, armenians, georgians etc, not only russians O__o

You know you made the most positive picture that is possible in such historical event... Belarus was actually sacrificed. "I am dying but don't give up" as one of the inscriptions there say.
Recently the Russian and Belarusian film of the same has been shown in cinemas, so I suppose it is a sign to go xD
And I would like to look at your work about Stalingrad's event *_*
(My terrible English is so terrible. I suppose I need a person who will denote my mistakes T_T)

The Soviet government originally didn't have plans to sacrifice their western republics for strategic depths, that was something done because they were forced to do so

actually, it happened because they illegally and together with Hitler, annexed Poland. That's why their troops and the border was extended, and all fotresses, except Brest, abandoned - suddenly Russia had a border with, wait for it: Germany (1939- Hitler-Stalin pact)!
