I've been in a dry spell. So I whipped this out today in order to try to break the dam.I'm obsessed with True Blood and I think Vampire Bill is the cat's meow. Me-ow.
Edit- Tweaked a few things and tried to get a pic without a glare.
Edit #2- Tweaked again. Arrrgghhh.

I know...the wait is almost painful. (I was away for my job for 5 weeks, so I've had to watch this season sporadically--and now that I'm finally home they have to have a gap between episodes. Ugh. They're killing me.)
And yes...I found the queen to be...errr...sub par.

honestly digital art is awesome but paintings when done to extreme are amazing. i love the detail in this the color the realness of his face.! this is very touching to me. i havent found a painting ive liked so much as this in a long time. i love true blood and for you to capture his beauty in a painting is breathtaking.

Love the rawness of this painting. That and the colors match his character well. Bill could only be sexier if he talked with his actor's natural British accent!

Thank you very much. Although it was a quick painting, I hoped to capture him through something refined and raw. As for the accent, I would normally agree with you, but I've grown to love his southern twang.

Sweet painting. I'm not sure who the character is, but he gives me the creeps. (He kind of looks like Bruce McCulloch from Kids in the Hall... but Evil.)
That's crazy that you did it in Oil. Did you go really heavy on the thinner? It looks really watercolory... or maybe that's just the photo.

I guess it's thinly applied...it's just a quicky portrait so there's not really any layering. The photo kind of sucks too...this is the only picture I could get without a glare. I actually just uploaded another picture of it...well...I went to take another pic and then ended up working on it again because I'm insane.
