Claudette, The Winter Witch
(Outer Shell Form)
"Her nature is of Delusions of Grandeur. She personally believes that she is one of the strongest beings there is, but she truly isn’t as strong as she things, and she isn’t that smart either. Her vulnerable inner body is covered in an icy outer shell, which also gives her power. She hates fire and heat. "

This is another Witch who will be appearing in my Madoka Magica Fan-Manga project, "Maho Shouho Rika Magica." She will be one of the Witches whom the Maho Shoujos will fight very early on, although she comes after Phoebe The Sky Witch, whom you may have also seen in my gallery too. She isn't one of the most powerful they face at the end of the day, but she certainly likes to think that she is.
This is her form with her massive Icy Outer Shell on, which protects her vulnerable inner body.

Now for the description of this Witch in this form.

Claudette is a wierd Witch who's body consists of a true one, and an icy outer shell that is like armor for her. Her Vulnerable true body looks like a solid, one-eyed ghost that is blue. However, this is obstructed by her outer shell. Her Outer Shell body looks like a spiky ice monster with large icicle wings, spikes around its one-eyed head, no legs (she floats), and large fist-like hands that are disconnected from her body and float. The eye from her true form can still be seen through a transparent sheet of ice over her face on her shell, seeing through it like a visor. She is quite large, a typical Maho Shoujo is about as big as one of her hands.
The true form references what she really was all along (weak and cowardly), and the outer shell references what she always thought she was (mighty and superior). Also notice that it makes her look brutal and tough with it, but frail and not so tough without it.
Her wings are reminiscent of the girl she was before, who had them in her powered up form, but they are altered slightly. They now only serve a cosmetic purpose now though, and they are supposed to fan out like a Peacock's Tail Feathers, as to represent how she wanted to show that she's the strongest, and the deep pride she takes in that.
Her floating fist-like hands represent her belief of being very strong, as for large fists are usually associated with massive strength, though it’s only a false strength, which is why she loses them when her ice outer layer is gone. Also, it shows a sense of independence, since she didn’t want help, she wanted to settle everything “By Her Own Hands.” It also references how her former self liked to rely more on her powers and not use her Maho Shoujo weapons too.

Claudette has a theme having to do with Ice and Snow, being the Winter Witch, and she has powers over ice, snow, and frost. This is mainly because of her being an avid figure skater before, and having Ice Powers as a Maho Shoujo. Due to her being a Witch, instead of manipulating this elements directly, Claudette can take people's negative emotions such as grief and sorrow and mold it into ice and frost, which she can control.
Claudette's Nature is of Delusions of Grandeur. She thinks all the time that "she is the best there is" but she really isn't as strong as she believes, and she isn't too smart either. Claudette certainly isn't a pushover, but if you compare her to all the other Witches, she'd rank as a low threat, She constantly attacks other people, as for she thinks that by killing more, she proves more that she is powerful. However, many of her victims are defenseless innocent bystanders, but she's now too naive and insane to realize that.

Before Claudette became a Witch, she was a figure skater, and spent a lot of time at Ice Rinks, which is shown in her barrier. She had wished on Kyubey to be better than everyone else she knew, especially these bullies whom had been harassing her to the point which she could not take it anymore. This soon went to her head and she thought she was better and stronger and tougher than anyone else. However, she was only better than those she knew, but not others, and soon some others managed to surpass her ability, which made her think that her wish wore off or something, and she became a Witch out of despair afterwards. She was also quite reckless in battle too, relying on her Ice powers and never using her weapons, and often times overestimating and overusing her own abilities. All of this is referenced in her barrier.

Claudette's Witch Barrier is like a massive, cold, Ice Palace with long corridors and doors in places too. As you can see behind her here, the Boss Chamber where Claudette is resembles a large Ice Skating Rink too. It’s very quiet in there, except for in the Boss Chamber.

In battle, Claudette uses a variety of attacks that mainly involve smashing, punching, grabbing, and slamming down the ever-loving snot out of you with her massive floating hands. Both of her hands can also float farther away from her body if she needs, giving her a rather extensive reach with those attacks too.
She also has a number of projectile attacks too, one being shooting ice shards of various sizes from her fingertips. She can also fire a sub-zero ray from her palms that can freeze you solid, leaving you a sitting duck for her other moves. Another move of her’s involves generating massive icy spheres in her hands that resemble billiard balls, and throwing them at you.
Her main body has very few attacks, most of the stuff she throws at you comes from her floating hands. Her main body can slam down on the ground and create a weak, short-ranged shockwave, but that’s about it.

To damage Claudette, you have to break off her outer shell and expose her vulnerable true form. As it takes damage, the shell starts forming cracks all over it, more and more. Once her shell is off, she loses most of her powers and also loses her floating hands, she becomes vulnerable, and moves slower. Once her vulnerable inner body is revealed, you’ll be able to damage her directly and hopefully finish her off.
However, after a while, her icy outer shell regenerates back, so you'll have to be quick when the opportunity appears or you'll have to take out the shell all over again.
Her floating hands can also be destroyed separately, which can be helpful in reducing her means of offense, but they regenerate after a short time as long as her outer shell is standing. However, if you break off her outer shell, both of her hands instantly shatter away with it.
Claudette tends to be rather reckless in battle and the majority of her attacks are rather slow and straightforward, so they aren't very difficult to avoid. Many times she leaves herself wide open in places when fighting, which others should take advantage of to counterattack with. Though it can be easy to telegraph many of her attacks, the battle will really test one's situational awareness.
Also, strangely, most attacks from close-range tend to work better on Claudette than do long-range attacks, so you'll have a good chance of taking her down if you dodge her attacks and hit her up close and personal. Her sub-zero ray is the most dangerous attack though, for she tries to freeze you with it so she can hit you more easily, watch out for it.
Another thing is that her Ice Sphere Move, though powerful, can be reflected back at her with a well-timed strike to the spheres. This can be used to damage her ice outer layer effectively.
Also being a Winter and Ice-based Witch, Claudette is very weak to fire and heat. If you have any fire-type attacks or weapons, use them and it will due loads of harm to Claudette (both with and without her shell).
Do not use Ice-type attacks on Claudette, for that will only make her stronger.
Nevertheless, a skilled Maho Shoujo won't have much trouble with her, since she wouldn't rank as a very strong Witch, despite what Claudette personally believes herself to be.
