I just thought now would be as good a time as any to say some stuff before I go. I’m sorry for wasting your time if you were expecting a story, but there will definitely be some stories coming out soon (eleven in fact!), so stick around if you like to read unnecessarily long farewell speeches!

Starting this week, I will begin the next chapter in my life. After waiting two years and studying for what is basically a required entrance exam, I am finally happy to say that I will be finally going to medical school. This is a dream come true for me after so many years of struggling and I honestly hope that I will be able to go through this upcoming chapter in my life as well. I will have a lot more commitments in general with my studies and everything, so I'm not really sure if I will really be around to make new art or anything. However, I will try to keep publishing any art that I was working on and just forgot about. Of course, I will still keep my account up, because I know that there are some people who thankfully appreciate my art, no matter how lackluster it is.I would like to thank my family, friends, and all of you for supporting me each step of the way.

When I was young, I happened to accidentally stumble upon this site. To be honest, I only knew Deviantart as a website for artwork. As I got older and watched more videos on Youtube and whatnot, I began to realize that perhaps Deviantart was somewhat part of the weird side of the Internet, I admit. Yet, as I continued to create more works and see other people’s art, I realized something. Deviantart is a community. It’s a community where others support each other and their dreams, guide them in whatever way that they can. Seeing artists like johnnyharadrim , curveball , sofiadorian , TheMaskedMoron , hd8904 , BLuLIvE , MidnightSharade , Vytz , TheUndercoverGuy, and many others honestly inspired me so much to make art of my own. Perhaps it was also my impatience that excellent, god-tier work just didn’t come fast enough. As such, I decided to make my own art, using whatever affordable or even free tools I could use.

To say that it was completely easy would be a lie. To say that I haven’t had sad moments during my time here on Deviantart would also be a lie. Maybe my artwork just wasn’t good enough. Maybe it didn’t really fit what I had in mind. But heck, I just kept publishing anyway. It seems that I was too stubborn for my own good. If I were to be completely honest, all of my admirer’s support kept me on this site but all of my haters’... well, hate, is what drove me to try even harder. It’s only been a year since I’ve started actively posting, but I’m rather proud of what I was able to learn during this short time. Of course, there is still room for me to improve and all, but I can definitely say that I am happy with where I am right now. If you’re going to live your life according to what haters say about you, you are wasting your own precious life and living someone else’s. The only thing to do is to move up and keep going in that direction, which is what I hope I did ultimately. I know that you’re all probably very bored of the same phrase said over and over again, but “practice makes perfect” is indeed a real thing! Even if it doesn’t really make stuff perfect, you can be very sure that you’ll be much better over time. Because what is perfection if not a standard that we all hold ourselves up to?

While I am ending this chapter in my life now, I just want to let you all know how much you all mean to me. Even if we’ve never talked or anything like that, I am just so grateful to everyone who even took a moment of their time to come visit my page and like or comment on my amateur photo manipulations. I want to thank people like insaniac34 , napo08 , Mrburst , kiothinan , maddness69 , TheUndercoverGuy, TheProtoplasmWell , TheStorySuiter and so many others for sending me messages of support (I’m sorry if I didn’t include your name but just know that I cherish you all the very same). It’s the simple things in life. I just want to let you all know that you all have a very special place in my heart and I will always remember this place fondly. Yep, even the haters haha because ultimately both my admirers and haters are what made me want to improve my art. Even if you didn't enjoy my art, I'm perfectly fine with it. I joined this community simply because I wanted to make masks for fun and I'm content enough as it is with the people who supported me and either encouraged me to keep going onwards or even taught me ways to improve. I'm very grateful to you all. Again, I'm not deleting my account or anything, but I'm just giving a little announcement that I most likely will not be able to post very often starting in August, if at all. I will still lurk on this site and fave any new artwork I just wanted to end this by saying thank you all very much once again.

Once again, I won’t delete my art (yes, even the bad ones are staying up!) or deactivate this page. I remember the pain of seeing an artist that I really liked, only for them to just pack up their bags and delete their page without even saying goodbye. I will be publishing a story that Mrburst and I have been working on for some time called “Orang Pelarian 2”. Yep, the 2 means it’s a sequel so buckle your seatbelts, you’re in for a spy thriller rollercoaster of emotions! There will be a lot of chapters, so it’ll almost be like I never left.

After I publish all 11 or so chapters of Orang Pelarian 2 along with their respective photo manipulations, I will no longer be posting on this site. Again, I will be keeping my page up and I will never delete anything, but I won’t be making any new art or anything. If anyone wants to unfollow me, I’m ok with it. It’s nothing personal anyways and plus, this is a hobby of mine, not a popularity contest. I will still lurk on this site from time to time however, so if anyone is ever willing to take up the torch and start making new art, I’ll definitely be there to cheer you on.

I will also keep maintaining “MaskingFemme” (www.deviantart.com/maskingfemm… ) since I am currently the admin and I welcome anyone’s F2F artwork, whether they are stories, disguise sequences, masks, skinsuits, etc. Even if you’re just beginning or you’re already a pro, anyone is welcome! Just as long as you use mature filters for certain works and don’t bully others, but you all seem to be pretty decent folks anyways. Toxic people or trolls will be mercilessly trolled, so troll at your own risk.

Even though I’ll definitely be busy for the next few years (med school is nothing to sneeze at), I just wanted to announce that I do in fact have a Discord. Feel free to add me, my ID is erisdadiscorddeity#4859. I won’t be taking commissions or requests anymore since I will be retired. However, if you just want to stop by for a chat about tips/advice for making photo manipulations, skinsuits, masks, disguises, or even just life in general, I’ll be on Discord. Even if I don’t respond right away, I will definitely respond to everyone at some point. See you there!
