I'm not sure if this will be acceptable or not ? Since its kind of an awkward animation / gif? I'll have to check otherwise I might redo it ... which would be a shame cuz I really couldn't think of another way to really express where I wanted to go for John's entry.

John's Necklace

John recieved many gifts from his boyfriend Oaklin. He cherished every one of them. They ranged from small stones to palm-sized trinkets. Little collectable things that caught John's eye, and Oaklin would notice and get such things for him. One day, Oaklin gave John a special gift for his birthday. A necklace, with one of the rarest and smallest flowers in the world. It may be small, but that flower contained a powerful aroma that instantly soothed forms of stress or anxiety to anyone who caught whiff of its scent. John didn't know what to say upon receiving such a precious and rare item. For Oaklin to go to all the trouble for such a small but significant thing all for John. He wanted to cry, but Oaklin distracted him with birthday kisses, resulting in a fit of laughter from the two of them.

John keeps the necklace with him at all times, and uses it in times of need, reminding him not only of his loved one, but it reminds him someone cares about him, making him precious too.
