Widow's Music Box

It was late at night, or early in the morning. What do you consider to be 3 AM?
Never the less, Widow woke up in a cold sweat. She was panting and disoriented. Oh.... she must have had a nightmare.
She tried to calm herself, looking around the room at the still bat flowers, and the shiny gleam that stuck to the wood desks and dressers.
She was still having difficulty calming down. She sighed, reaching under the sticky web hammock she slept in, and pulled up a black box with golden embroidery on it. Her shaking hand clenched the handle, and slowly turned the latch, accumulating music from the small box. She received this music box from her aunt, and would always play it when she was stressed or in need of comforting. It always lulled her back to sleep, producing the sweet notes of the child's nursery rhyme: the Itsy Bitsy Spider.

Rotating the handle a couple more times, her breathing was back to normal, the storm in her mind now just a fog....
Placing the box back under her web, she wrapped the covers around herself once more, and fell back asleep."
