Description I took a step further in my sculpture and decided to have some fun. Made it all rusty and moldy, even though this kind of metal isn't supposed to rust. (yes, I'm a bit of a star wars geek). ^__^

I've had a lot of people commenting on how and what I made this out of, etc.

I've sculpted the original out of plastalina (it's kinda like plasticine but finer and less oily). Its about the size of my head, u can actually wear it; well at least it fits my head, a lot of people that bought it off me said it was too small though. After i was done, i made a mold and cast it with resin and fiberglass woven in. I've thrown it around, hit it with a hammer, tossed it off the 2nd floor of my apartment and it didn't break, just a few chips you see in the pic. the visor is made of clear Plexiglas which i cut to shape, heated in the oven and bended it to the shape of the helmet and finally covered with reflective film (see through of course). I used acrylic paint for every thing you see. the moss I used that stuff architects use for trees then painted to make it look more realistic.

all of it took me just over two months to make, but at the time i was in school so i spent maybe 30 minutes here and there when i could.

I still do make these every so often when someone commissions me to. Each one will be different since they are all hand made. If you are interested you can contact me with a note or something. I also make other kind of sculptures of all styles and size.

The armor mustve been out in the open so long. I bet the helmet belonged to a clone who died during order 66

Looks absolutely stunning. I've often thought of what some of the battle scenes from Star Wars would look like some ten years later. I'd love to run around and see if I can unearth some old armor. I'd have loved to have found a helmet like that!

Only thing I'd do to it is perhaps add some scratches/openings (breakage) in the actual visor. Maybe dull it out with some sand paper so it's not so shiny. It's after all supposed to have been rotting away on some forgotten battle ground!

Awesome job, hope to see more from you!
