I just recently got SAI however the brush stabilizer isn't working, I've tried every setting it Β won't work on any tool so I have to use the pen tool in photoshop or the curve tool in SAI and very dissatisfied with the results. Can anyone help, I'm still new to sai, and would appreciate any thoughts on this.

this is extremely helpful! I just got SAI and had no clue how to use it, so I'm glad I found your tutorial! I used to use GIMP 2.6, but my computer crashed on me just over a year ago and I've finally got it up and running again and decided to get SAI since everyone seems to love it so much. So thank you so much for your help!

He did all the linework but the hair in Sai. Then, he used his tablet on a different program to do the hair, which is shown in the second picture

O.o Why is my Paint Tool SAI different from yours? I mean it doesn't have any weight, curve or even those gradient stuff O.o

You have to create a new Linework layer. It should be right next to the New Layer button.

cool., this may be a silly question(and out of the topic)., How do you duplicate the eyes? so that it will be equal perfectly?
π: 0 β©: 1
mermaidology In reply to Sonheelight [2013-03-05 14:19:19 +0000 UTC]
Select around the one eye, copy and paste . This will create a new layer with a duplicate eye . Move it, then at the top under layer , go to transform and move it around until you are happy .

Hello! I wondered if there is a way to color traditional lineart directly without the colours overlapping the lines. I would really appreciate an advice! ; 7 ;

if you use a tablet, do i have to do the curve, weight and pressure steps or can i just draw naturally? owo
π: 0 β©: 1
Brecreep In reply to TsukiJelly [2012-01-04 19:07:45 +0000 UTC]
you can just draw naturally, but it tends to be a lot harder from my own experience..
and i have gone crazy trying to do it until i tried vector layers
hair tends to be easier to draw with a tablet because it is normally drawn wavy, straighter lined are harder to acheive this way.. for me atleast.

TsukiJelly In reply to Brecreep [2012-01-05 02:48:56 +0000 UTC]
I see, its best to do with the tablet itself then. ^^
Thanks!

Yun pala yun! Yung magic curve tool!
Hahaha! Matagal ko nang gusto magawa yung ganyan...
Nasanay ako sa pen tool ng PS, mejo matrabaho nga lang at talagang dapat gamay mo na ang paggamit ng mouse..
Anyways, Saan pwede magfree download? (gusto ko rin sana nung Japanese Sai)
Yung nakuha ko kasi wala yung CURVE tool. Puro brushes lang meron...
Please please please >.<
