Fun fact: Kel-Tec founder George Kellgren's previous company, Grendel Arms, made a bolt-action .308 rifle with a folding stock similar to that of the SU-16C/D.

Yes. It was originally longer, when I was thinking of a pure scout rifle configuration. But ultimately I went for a compromise.

The only reason the scout has long eye relief is to allow manual loading through the ejection port.

The art itself is nice, but it's so tacticool it hurts.

This isn't tacticool. A polymer frame doesn't make something tacticool. It only has one rail, which is for the scope, and no unnecessary gadgets attached to it.
Tacticool, by definition, is a weapon made impractical in the pursuit of useless attachments.

I stand corrected, then.

Yep. Although something like this could be too orthodox for them, I thought it would be interesting to see their style of furniture on a bolt-action.
