This is amazing!! The detail in the lights look so time consuming! Did you just use regular sketch pencils? Everything is so smooth. I love how classical this looks- classic car, black and white, stark background.

Thank you I used regular pencils, from HB to 6B for the dark areas. I blended everything with a tissue and cotton buds. The lights were really time consuming, I spared them for last

Absolutly love it! The definition between the brushed alloy and chrome is spot on and the headlights are beyond perfect Plus i love 67's !

I'm not fond of cars but I admit, Chevrolet is far from charmless and your drawing is absolutely fabulous! I can tell you I like it far more than the reference picture. You neglected no details to make it consistent with the white background .

BTW it seems very difficult not to be disappointed with scanners in general. What is the one you're using? Did you need to calibrate it?

Thank you for your thoughtful words I'm really glad you enjoyed it.
My scanner is very old, they don't even have a driver update for my new OS and so I can only use it on my old laptop. I definitely need to buy a new one in the future, but the good ones are really expensive...

You're most welcome. If your scanner is that old you might want to try a LiveCD of Linux (such as Fedora or Ubuntu ) for I know old hardware is quite well supported and it won't force you to throw your old PC to the bin. Scanner support is made through XSane. Here is a list of supported devices . Do you find yours?
