This wary, winged girl is the daughter of a Pearl Clan woman and a man who appeared rather suddenly in the Icelands, claiming to be from a time and place far away from the Settlement. When she was born, Mari was given two names, one tying her back to Hisui, and the other tying her to her Father's home. The other story of her birth is how she was born. Was it a blessing from The Almighty Sinnoh, Arceus, or a curse from something darker? No one let the latter thought slip around her, but Mari didn't need them to. She was born with a pair of wings and psychic abilities, calling back to The Braviary of Hisui.
She grew up normal enough, her quiet and uneventful life was changed rather recently with the death of her parents in an incident that wounded Chiharu, and left her even more Skittish and afraid before. One night, while travelling the Icelands with PokeBalls belonging to Ena, Chiharu and Joyeuse, Ena found herself overcome with emotion, and when her psychic abilities activated in a moment of desperate self defence...
...she opened her eyes to find herself somewhere entirely new.
