Description I found a pigeon in the park today. Nothing to do with his death have not. The poor pigeon out of luck, but lucky me. Sometimes nature makes strange gifts, but I'm satisfied. The pigeon is very beautiful. And then I was lucky to find a rowan bush...

Very many of his photographed, got good shots. I'll upload.

I have never been a huge photography person, but something about this just really struck me. The lighting, the composition, the entire thing is absolutely perfect. The warm light really compliments the coldness of the snow and the subject. The focus on the bird's feel holding the branch combined with the warmth of the light insights hope into the viewer. Plus it looks completely natural. Considering that it's such a sorrowful subject being combined with such a warm feeling, it would probably be easy to make it cheesy and unnatural. But you didn't. You really nailed it. I rarely write such positive critiques, but I really feel that you deserve it. I looked at some other photos in this series and this is defiantly my favorite. Hontor, you are a fantastic photographer. Keep up the good work.

Once upon a child, I drew a similar story. Therefore, in a sense, I was able to photograph my thoughts, thank nature for it.

I love pigeons and I never liked seeing any dead animals as I know there  are lots of photographers that take photos this way and I could never understand why as I can't see the beauty of death but somehow I was very touched by this image so because of the bush you placed in his claw It shows me that you had some compassion for this beautiful bird. This image brought tears to my eyes

This is utterly beautiful--a perfect affirmation of life and death and the drama between the two states. Everything from the lighting to the focal point/composition is spot on. Lucky you for coming across it!

From the various shot I would say it's a ringneck dove. I don't know where you live but they are kept as pets and usually don't survive very well in northern countries if they escape (I think they come from Africa). This one probably escaped from his home and died from cold or starvation. It's so sad. I used to keep doves just like this one. Adorable pets.

Anyway nice series of shot on a rather tragic subject. The lighting is especially good.

Sad... Was probably a pet that got loose. Ring neck doves do exist in the southern states as feral like pigeons... But they need a much warmer climate as they are native to Africa. Beautiful birds. Very sweet natured. You captured some lovely shots

I had a dream last night... there were dead birds everywhere in different states of decomp... I think part of it derived from this image - but none were doves that I can remember, ironically.

ring-neck dove. pigeons and dove are the same thing though. just that usually the smaller breeds are considered doves and the larger pigeons. i used to breed those guys when i was younger. i miss my doves a lot .=]
