She's FINALLY FINISHED!
I've had this commission in the works since San Diego Comic Fest . It took me a while to finish this piece since I had commission work and I had to deal with some LIFE.
I was going to base this pinup off of a commission I did in SDCF, but I ended up changing the pose differently since I didn't want to do a recreation. Although I traditionally sketch most of my pieces on paper first, I went on to do most of the sketching digitally. The reason for doing that was because I drew Leia rather small on paper, so erasing a lot of tiny details would have been a pain.
Coloring wasn't the biggest issue here (despite some areas causing me trouble) but the most tedious part of this pinup was mainly drawing the BRAIDED HAIR and CHAINS! I decided to stylize the braided hair instead of make it look like actual braids . As for the chain... I just copied and pasted a lot lol!
I have to say that I really enjoyed doing this piece here and it's about time I draw a Slave Leia pinup as well!
Now all I have to do is watch The Force Awakens because I HAVEN'T YET!
